Task：Some people think getting old is entirely bad. However, others think that life of the elderly in modern world is much easier than in the past. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Getting old is a natural process that nobody really likes. When you reach a certain age, your physical conditions will inevitably deteriorate, and you may suffer from various kinds of diseases. When you retire, you will feel isolated because your previous work contacts may be all gone, then you may feel useless to the world. Furthermore, when you get too old, you’ll have to rely heavily on the support from others, either physically or emotionally, and your life will become a great pressure to your family and the whole society as well.

For all these bad things about getting old, many people argue that the life of the elderly today is much easier than in the past. In the first place, medical advances nowadays have made it possible for the old people to stay sound and healthy for quite a long while even after they retire. Diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and heart attack which might have inflicted pain on the old people are no longer serious problems for them. Then, with the widespread use of modern communication technology, old people today are no longer isolated from the world. Instead, by using their personal social media, they can always stay in touch with their families and friends, and share with them whatever they find interesting in their life. In this way, they do not really feel lonely or abandoned. Finally, the improved social wealth and pension system have also significantly reduced the pressure the old people pose to their families and communities.

So, I do agree that the old people today are enjoying a much more comfortable life than, say, thirty years ago (not to mention 100). That is why, instead of being worried about their retired life, many people even begin to expect their retirement to come, because they see this as a new beginning of their life. I think, as long as the old people have the right attitude, the modern world has indeed much to offer for their happy, enjoyable and rewarding retired life.

Even in face of local issues, the new technology from other countries can be very helpful. International cooperation has greatly expanded the world business as well. International cooperation can not only increase the productivity but also bring down the costs. It is because of international cooperation that American customers can enjoy the high-quality commodities from China at low prices and vice versa. Meanwhile, if countries work together, they can make their products and services more agreeable to the local people, which in turn will create more markets. For example, Microsoft products are all originally in English and were met with cold eyes 20 years ago when they entered China. It was only after Microsoft cooperated with Chinese programmers and converted the language to Chinese that its products have been widely accepted in China.

It is hard, though, to determine which has benefited more from international cooperation. My immediate response would be that world business is the greater beneficiary. Some hold that this situation will result in a series of problems, such as social burden, population expansion and so on. While others insist that it agrees the development of modern society and brings many advantages. For my part, I take the latter side with(用for) the following reasons: (74words)

点评：开头稍微写的有点长，不过内容写的还不错。属于通过分析两种不同观点，最后阐述自己观点的写法。(此种写法在雅思大作文的第一段比较常见)

美中不足的是倒数第二句的错误比较明显!while是个连词，应该连接句子与句子，所以这里前面不应该是句号。后面agree是不及物动词，不能直接加宾语。

Firstly, elder people(一会儿elderly people,一会儿又elder people，这不是自相矛盾么!!!) are the fortune of our society. They have enough experiences and capabilities which are badly lacked and needed for our youth when dealing with all sorts of problems, they can still do well in their jobs. 所以，最有效的方法是拿别人的高分范文来分析，看他们是怎么开头和过度的。通过阅读其他考生的范文，总结出自己的开头段与中间连接的各种词组、句子结构等等。原因是：不像那些写书的专家，给出的模板看似简单，却恰恰要求你模板以外的文字要特别出众，否则就拿不到高分，而其他考生毕竟是考生，水平和你差不多，用他们的东西更能转化为自己的。
